4.3 ‘SOURCE’ GROUP OF FIELDS
The names of the fields in this group are revealed in layout mode.

Source, page, line
The source group of fields displays the source, together with the page and line number.
Category, sub-category
The next tier of fields might show a category and subcategory in the green fields: here ‘artefact’ and ‘rope’. The full title of the second category field is {category JS adj}.

Numeral / number
As can be seen from Figs 4.31 and 4.32 the blue {numeral} field displays an actual number, if that is what the record is about.
Gender
The last field in this group is for recording gender. Nouns, pronouns and adjectives can have gender, evident in the feminine. Thus the feminine form may have a suffix, commonly -et, as seen in the following example, for neferet.
